Punjabi singer Nirvair Singh died in a road accident in Australia

Nirvair Singh was tragically killed in a horror three-vehicle collision at Bulla Diggers Rest Rd in Melbourne’s north-west on Tuesday. The regional police stated that Nirvair was in the wrong place at the wrong time that cost him his life in the horrifying crash. He was driving along Bulla-Diggers Road in Melbourne’s west and was involved in the collision at about 3.30 pm.

Officers were responding to reports of erratic driving when they attempted to intercept a Kia Cerato, but it sped off and they decided not to pursue it, a police spokesman said. “Police did attempt to intercept the car on Bulla Road about five minutes prior to the collision,” he said.

A 23-year-old Wallan man and 26-year-old Sunbury woman were in the Kia that allegedly evaded police. Both were arrested at the scene of the crash and the man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life, and unlicensed driving.

The 26-year-old woman remains in hospital. Senior Sergeant Jarrod Dwyer said it was a tragic example of an innocent person being killed while going about their business. Friends paid tribute to Singh, a father of two, on Tuesday. Preet Singh said his friend had a bright future and was loving and hard-working. “It is absolutely shocking that he is not there anymore,” he told Nine News.

Performer Maninder Batth said he had known Singh for more than a decade and described him as a good family man. “He was a good personality, he was always happy, giving happiness to other people,” Batth said. He added as well as being a singer, Singh was also a talented writer. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. The female driver of the third car involved was treated for minor injuries.
